Limnogeologia. Investigo sistemas lacustres del Mesozoico y Cenozoico desde un enfoque multidisciplinario brindado por la Limnogeología. Integro bases de datos sedimentológicas, petrográficas, mineralógicas, paleontológicas y geoquímicas (de isótopos estables del carbono y el oxígeno y de isótopos de estroncio) para resolver interrogantes sobre la evolución en tiempo y espacio de los lagos antiguos. Integro bases de datos sedimentológicas, petrográficas, mineralógicas, paleontológicas y geoquímicas (de isótopos estables del carbono y el oxígeno y de isótopos de estroncio) para resolver interrogantes sobre la evolución en tiempo y espacio de los lagos antiguos. Esta combinación de disciplinas me permite realizar reconstrucciones paleoambientales, paleoecológicas y paleoclimáticas a escala local, regional y global de tiempo profundo durante periodos de la historia geológica caracterizados por casas cálidas. Estas reconstrucciones tienen implicancias relevantes respeto de los modelos climáticos globales y del cambio global moderno.
