Desarrollo de conocimiento científico y tecnológico asociado al estudio del impacto de diferentes tipos de contaminantes, provenientes de actividades agroindustriales, en el ambiente y su remediación/restauración mediante la aplicación de estrategias de gestión ecosustentables. Entre éstas, procesos de biorremediación, como el compostaje y la vermirremediación (uso de lombrices de tierra), son implementados para el tratamiento de matrices (sustratos y efluentes) con compuestos tóxicos con el objetivo de descontaminarlas, reciclarlas y reutilizarlas. Sumado a esto, la implementación de ensayos ecotoxicológicos, utilizando bioindicadores como semillas y lombrices, a las matrices tratadas complementan el estricto biomonitoreo ambiental mediante el seguimiento de la evaluación de la toxicidad y biodegradabilidad resultante. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
