Mi tesis de Licenciatura estuvo orientada inicialmente al conflicto gremial del sindicato docente con el gobierno provincial en 1919. Luego decidí analizar la etapa final del conflicto, por ser la menos explorada hasta el momento: el destierro bajo amenaza de muerte a más de una decena de referentes sindicales al desierto de Lavalle durante una huelga general en apoyo al gremio docente. Mi tesis de Licenciatura estuvo orientada inicialmente al conflicto gremial del sindicato docente con el gobierno provincial en 1919. Luego decidí analizar la etapa final del conflicto, por ser la menos explorada hasta el momento: el destierro bajo amenaza de muerte a más de una decena de referentes sindicales al desierto de Lavalle durante una huelga general en apoyo al gremio docente. Esto implicó un trabajo heurístico con la prensa comercial de la época a lo que sumé prensa gremial, no abordada por investigaciones anteriores. Esto me generó un interrogante sobre si esa metodología represiva que no es el exilio, la cárcel o la muerte podía encontrarse en otros períodos históricos. Tras realizar un curso sobre pedagogías de la memoria, vinculé el destierro con la Historia reciente y la posibilidad y necesidad de contar con testimonios para reconstruir una práctica tan invisibilizada.
