Tiene una maestría (2007) y un doctorado (2011) en ecología por la Unicamp (Campinas, San Pablo). Fue becario postdoctoral en la Universidad Federal de Paraíba (2012-2016), en la Universidad Estatal de Londrina (2019-2020) y profesor visitante en la IFRN (2017-2018), y en ese momento realiza investigación post doctoral en el Instituto de Biología Subtropica...
