Utilizo modelos y calculos de primeros principios a nivel del funcional de la densidad para estudiar procesos cataliticos en superficies y propiedades de estado solido. Los temas comprenden adsorcion de gases en metales, bimetalies, oxidos y carburos. Almacenamiento de higrogeno en metales, hidruros, nanotubos y grafeno. Por otra parte se realizan estudios de interacción de defectos en aleaciones base Fe y aleaciones PdGa. Se estudia reactividad quimica en superficies bimetalicas y carburos y co-adsorcion de gases. Los campos de aplicacion son la catalisis heterogenea, la fisica del solido y metalurgia aplicada y en general en varios campos de la fisica de superficies. Recientemente me he involucrado en el tema de celdas solares sensibilizadas por colorante. Se utilizan tecnicas VASP, Gaussian, CRYSTAL, Quantum Expresso, SIESTA, entre otros y los campos de aplicacion son la carboquimica y petroquimica y la metalurgia. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
