Durante el desarrollo de Tesis Doctoral, estudie y aplique métodos del segundo principio de la termodinámica (analisis exergetico y termoeconomico), a ciclos combinados y de cogeneración, e inicie mis trabajos sobre Análisis de Ciclo de Vida (ACV). A mi regreso al país ingresé en el INCIHUSA, orientando mi labor a la aplicación del ACV al sector edilicio, y a considerar y categorías de evaluación de impactos ambientales regionales relevantes para la región (acidificación, eutrofización, deserti...
Durante el desarrollo de Tesis Doctoral, estudie y aplique métodos del segundo principio de la termodinámica (analisis exergetico y termoeconomico), a ciclos combinados y de cogeneración, e inicie mis trabajos sobre Análisis de Ciclo de Vida (ACV). A mi regreso al país ingresé en el INCIHUSA, orientando mi labor a la aplicación del ACV al sector edilicio, y a considerar y categorías de evaluación de impactos ambientales regionales relevantes para la región (acidificación, eutrofización, desertificación y uso de agua). Las aplicaciones posteriores tuvieron énfasis en fuentes renovables de energía (eólica, solar, biocombustibles). La creciente exigencia de los mercados motivó una fuerte actividad de ACV de productos agroindustriales, a la competencia agua-energía-alimentos; a la producción de biocombustibles sin competencia con alimentos (microalgas y plantas xerófilas), y a la circularidad de los procesos. Estas investigaciones motivaron la consideración de las pérdidas y desperdicios de alimentos, abordando el consumo y la producción sostenibles de alimentos.
