Durante el desarrollo de Tesis Doctoral, estudie y aplique métodos del segundo principio de la termodinámica (analisis exergetico y termoeconomico), a ciclos combinados y centrales de cogeneración, e inicie mis trabajos sobre Análisis de Ciclo de Vida. A mi regreso al país ingresé en el INCIHUSA, orientando mi labor al sector edilicio, lo que demandó desarrollar metodologías de evaluación de impactos ambientales regionales relevantes para la región (acidificación, eutrofización, desertificación y uso de agua). Las aplicaciones posteriores fueron diversificadas, con énfasis en fuentes renovables de energía(eólica, solar, biocombustibles). La exigencia internacional en cuanto al cumplimiento de requisitos ambientales de los productos intercambiados determino la aplicación a productos agroindustriales. Por otra parte, la competencia energía-alimentos motivó el estudio de la produccion de biocombustibles a partir de microalgas y de plantas xerófilas *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
